Match Rules
1. Members will inform the Venue Officer at least 3 days before a
match if they wish to attend.
2. If on limited peg venue, it will be a first come first served basis.
3. A match day assistant will be appointed at every match to
assist the Venue Officer. They will be responsible in helping with
the following:
1. Running the whole day.
2. Peg selection.
3. Starting and ending the match.
4. Announcing the result.
4. The Venue Officer has the right to change a swim if it is
unsuitable for a disabled angler. Their decision is final.
5. The draw will take place at 09.00 fishing will start 10.00 {times
may vary}.
6. Only one rod or pole to be used at any time.
7. No member fishing the match will break the water unless to
place in a keep net, or to plumb the depth, or set up their rig.
8. NO FLOATING BAITS TO BE USED AT ANY TIME
INCLUDING ARTIFICIAL BAITS.
9. NO BREAD AT ANY TIME INCLUDING ARTIFICIAL
BREAD.
10. Where available all nets and landing nets should be dipped
before entering the water.
11. Only fishery approved keep nets to be used.
Members must have 2 keepnets for Venues where they are not
provided if fishing in a match.
12. ALL LOCAL FISHERY RULES APPLY AT ALL TIMES.
13. All fish must be landed by the member except in special
circumstances, which the Venue Officer shall be aware of.
14. If a member has a fish on at the final whistle they must declare
'fish on' and then have 15 minutes to land that fish. After that
time the fish will not count to their weight.
15. Any excess baits or rubbish should be removed from the venue.
16. Any member wishing to join a venue but be excluded from the
match side, may start earlier, only with the Venue Officer's
permission.
