Hi all, we couldnt agree more. It was a fantastic evening. The firdt time we have been out in a long while and well worth the effort. Sorry we left early and to those we didnt get to say good night to. A big thank you to all of you for making us so welcome and reminding us of what we have been missing out on.... company.

I heard the terrible news yesterday of the shocking death of Ted, I had the pleasure of knowing Ted since my younger days as a rocker and can honestly say that he was one of life's genuine nice guys. To die at his age makes it all the more sad, he was a good friend who WILL be missed.

Hi everyone! Last match yesterday, thanks to all those{ who braved a very cold morning} who attended. I don't want to appear to be moaning, but as of next year, if you book on to a venue and know on that morning you will not be attending, could you please tele me to let me know. I'm glad to be the first to say a big WELL DONE to all the Committee and club members who put on another good day to raise funds for our club. Give yourself a big pat on the back. Im sure a lot of the club dont know how much work it takes to organise an event like this.

I can also assure you that the guys and gals from MENCAP had a complete blast catching fish one after another.

I hope everyone takes a few minutes to let those involved in the organising and running of todays event how we appreciate their time and effort in raising club funds.

Thanks very much. He seems to be doing a lot better today. I think the gas and air had a longer term effect than expected. He was stoned for 2 days.

Hi All, Hope the day went fairly well despite the rain, Just wanted to let you all know our Grandson ben, ( he with the big carp on open day) was taken to hospital with a broken arm which is why we left in a hurry. After a breif sugery, they straightend his are and plastered him up. Hopefully in 2 weeks it will have started to mend otherwise its back to the operating theatre. Otherwise, all is ok at the moment, and he is comfortable. Will keep you up to date with any further news.

Again, sorry for not saying good bye to you all.

Arrans fishery

This saturday 7th june John Sullivan, Toby Payne, Jason and myself will going for a days fishing at Arrans fishery if anyone would like to join us we will be there between 9.00 - 9.30 am and staying till about 4pm.

This is a great place to fish and the last time I was There I caught over a 100lb of fish and John Sullivan caught his pb carp of 12.5 lbs.

Does anyone else here have a problem with there partners, when we are using the kitchen and utensiles to prepare bait [ i.e cooking hemp, making paste and riddling casters out of the maggots].

Mine seems to find this an affront on what a kitchen is used for even if I clean up after myself.

hello all, i was just browsing and saw this posting. can i just say about the comment on expense....the qualifiers are the only expense that anyone fishing have to pay, all money raised from these go into a fund that allow all finalists to fish without having to put there hand in their pockets. so surely its not such an expense that your fellow anglers can have a chance to represent your region. finally good luck to all who qualified

HI all. I also wanted to say what a great day we had. Both my grandsons had a go at fishing and landed some nice fish. I also talked my mum in to coming for a day out with us.She WAS one of the anti coarse fishing brigade. She was enlightened as to how much coarse fishing has changed over the last few decades and the care that is taken with the fish. I dont think I will get her to hold a rod but she thoroughly enjoed the day and the freindly atmosphere. Well done all!
